In today’s fast changing economic environment, transactions are voluminous and complex including financial instruments leading to a web of accounting and reporting which could lead into reportedly malpractices and financial irregularities. Our team is led by the world-renowned Dr Barry Jay Epstein Ph.D, CPA. We will probe and uncover the essence and authenticity of each transaction and verify that the appropriate accounting treatment has been applied. We have acted for the aggrieved parties and have also assisted companies who have been wrongly accused of these malpractices.

Money Laundering

Siphoning of profits, misappropriation of funds and illegal gains are on the rise. And despite efforts by authorities, these go undetected and cause many victims to fall prey. We will take on the challenge to prove the authenticity of each transaction and trace the chain of transactions to uncover the source of the illegal transactions/funds, and of which final assets in which that arises.

Internal Investigation

In big organizations it is important to have rigid internal controls, policies and safeguards to minimize employees and management from manipulating transactions and mislead reports. Our Forensic team have assisted companies on internal investigation of alleged internal embezzlement prior to reporting the case for criminal prosecution. Working with our internal audit team we carefully design controls to trigger unusual/suspicious transactions/embezzlement and put in place safeguards to minimize such occurrences.

A forensic audit is an examination and evaluation of a firm’s or individual’s financial information for use as evidence in court. A forensic audit can be conducted in order to prosecute a party for fraud, embezzlement or other financial claims. In addition, an audit may be conducted to determine negligence or even to determine how much spousal or child support an individual will have to pay.
